I am a Cape Town based artist working predominantly with the medium of photography. The vast majority of my work stems from experimentation with lens-based media, regarding the camera as an alchemic image-making device capable of inducing new ways of seeing the world. My art relies on a tension between the real and the imagined, blurring the boundaries between photography, painting, illustration and design.

My other creative endeavours include screenwriting, journalism, cinematography, music video production, painting, travel reportage and video art. At the moment I am completing my Master’s degree in Media Theory and Practice at the University of Cape Town, where I also teach a course in Photojournalism.
